Seymour College Civil Concrete Works
Seymour College is a day and boarding girls school located in the Adelaide suburb of Glen Osmond was founded in 1922. The College educates students from Reception through to Year 12. Seymour College is affiliated with the Uniting Church in Australia and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
Ballestrin provided civil concrete works for the College comprising of 70m of kerbing, 30m of drainage, fence footings and 54m2 of stone masonry works. The project was delivered adjacent to a heavy trafficked Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure road.
Works were staged to minimise disruption to students and teachers. Daily activities were planned to ensure site ingress and egress activities did not occur around peak student pick-up and drop-off times.
Work zones were segregated and protected with security fencing to ensure it is not possible for students to enter construction sites under any circumstances.
